There is so much to say about the excellent work that Sisi Takaki and her team, especially Christie and Kimberly, did for us! Everything from start to finish was streamlined and clear, and they were excellent about communication, giving frequent updates by email or text as needed, and also handling things behind the scenes so that we didn't have to deal with them whenever possible. Document or contract signings were easy with Docusign electronic signatures, which was great, especially because we live on the east coast! For the inspection, they scheduled the summary debrief with our inspector over Facetime, so that we could meet the inspector, see the inside of the unit again and see all of the areas identified for repair or further investigation. The inspector Sisi found was excellent and he helped us understand the condition of our unit in a much deeper way, and with that information, we were able to negotiate further credits with the seller. Regarding negotiating the price and terms of the purchase, Sisi helped to represent us well from the very beginning, as our offer was chosen over a higher all-cash offer, and then later as it came to negotiating credits Sisi and her team prepared a well-researched explanation as to our requests, (e.g. requesting repair quotes and collecting costs of items needing replacement) resulting in seller credits. As perspective, our mortgage advisor also commented in amazement about Sisi's negotiation skills, because our purchase price kept coming down! You definitely want her on your team, she is fantastic. Sisi is extremely trustworthy, which I think is the most important quality. I always felt completely in her care, and that she or her team was on top of every little detail. I trusted her implicitly, again, being far away during this whole transaction, I just knew that she would represent me well, be respectful to counterparties, etc. I wouldn't have done the transaction without her help. In terms of communication, she is very responsive and always made herself available to me, even on weekends though I felt bad - she would say 'this is my job!' She always was positive and ready to take on the next steps to move things forward. I felt in continuous conversation with her whether it was by email, text, phone, etc. Despite seemingly working so hard for her clients, I also know that she is also such a wonderful family person, with a loving family and kids, and so very approachable and relatable. This is a high performing top-notch team, and I whole-heartedly recommend Sisi and her team for any purchase/sale of property! Mary Beddow has helped other family members purchase homes over the past 25 years, and everyone has always had the highest praise for her. Therefore, it was a no-brainer that we would use her as our broker to purchase our new home.
